About us

Conker Tree Science was started jointly by Dr Michael Pocock and Dr Darren Evans when they were working at the University of Bristol.

Michael now works at the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology and Darren works at the University of Hull.

Michael and Darren are ecologists interested in how environmental change affects different species of animals and plants, and their interactions, and how this affects people. In other words, they are interested in ‘our web of life’.

Of course, Michael and Darren have not been able to set up Conker Tree Science all by themselves. They thank Nancy Jennings for editing the website and Huw Jeffries for setting the website up. They thanks the team at IT Services R&D at the University of Bristol for developing the LeafWatch app.
